Please follow all school policies as outlined in your student handbook (food, attendance/tardies). Become familiar with your handbook!
You are expected to bring your binder, and a pencil to class everyday.
When entering the room, turn on only your computer, and begin keyboarding assignment.
Attendance is very important in this course. When you are absent, you are responsible for making up the work and obtaining the assignments you missed from the instructor. Do this before or after class, not during instruction. Periodic make-up days are given if the majority of the class could use the time. All missed time in a course like this will significantly affect your grade.
The equipment being used is very costly and requires careful operation. This makes it necessary to use appropriate behavior at all times. Any damage to equipment beyond normal wear of usage is the student’s responsibility. If you enter the room and find something wrong at your computer station, notify your instructor immediately.
All students are provided with a secured password for access to the school network. This is to be kept secret and not shared with others. All students will be expected to demonstrate responsibility in cooperation with the school district’s technology code of ethics.
Please protect yourself and your work. If you are caught cheating through the network, both parties will lose credit for the project. This includes printing out a copy of your work with the name of someone else on the paper or copying/sharing a file with someone.
You have access to a limited number of programs on the computer for this class. There is to be absolutely no downloading or copying of programs (ESPECIALLY GAMES OR CHAT ROOM PROGRAMS) onto your computer. The computer you use is the property of Grand Haven Area Public Schools and the privileges you have are not the same as when using your home computer.
Final due dates will be assigned for each exercise. I will allow for late work from students who are working on a daily basis and use their time wisely. For those who don’t, no late work will be accepted!!!
You are expected to be productive the entire class period. Free time will only be given with the instructor’s permission. If you are not sure what you are suppose to be working on, ask!
Please conduct yourself appropriately. I will be happy to let you know what you can work on.
